The renovation sets out to meet changes in Sweco’s requirements and involves modernisation and future-proofing with an emphasis on sustainability and technology. The building, which is currently certified to the standard BREEAM IN USE Very Good, will be prepared for recertification following the project’s completion. During the renovation, Sweco will remain in adjacent and nearby premises. Other ground-level businesses, such as shops and restaurants, will operate as usual while the project is ongoing.
“We are excited to be able to develop these premises together with the client and their tenant, who share a great interest in technology and a strong focus on sustainability. We look forward to combining our sustainability, reuse and technology expertise to create a modern and long-term sustainable working environment. Doing this in collaboration with partners who share our commitment to the task, makes the project extra inspiring,” says Cecilia Lundberg, Business Manager Arcona.
“The new premises are an important contribution to Sweco's ambition of being an attractive and engaging workplace as well as to Areim's development of Tidningskvarteren. With their strong focus on sustainable solutions, Arcona has been a vital partner in the collaboration to create the right preconditions for Sweco's new offices. A clear common thread running through the entire project, from the initial discussions through the design phase to implementation, has boosted confidence in the process and its results,” says Jerker Victor, Head of Asset Management Sweden at Areim.
The contract is included in the Q1 order book.
