Veidekke sold homes at a value of NOK 1 billion

Veidekke sold 215 homes during the second quarter of 2018. Overall, Veidekke has sold homes for NOK 1 billion in Q2 2018. The number of units under construction is 2,708.

Activity is stable compared to the latest quarters in both Norway and Sweden. The number of units under construction has declined compared to the second quarter of 2017, and is at 2,708 units compared to 3,564 a year ago. Veidekke's share in the quarter is 2,166 units. The decline is greatest in Sweden, but housing production also reflects the low sales during the past year in Norway as well. The sales ratio for units under construction is 79%.

"Sales of our homes are increasing somewhat in both Norway and Sweden compared to the first quarter. We see that the market for new homes in Sweden remains hesitant, while we have seen a positive change of pace in eastern Norway in the last quarter. The rest of Norway is stable," says President and CEO Arne Giske.
