Veidekke company to build Havnegården in Arendal

Havnegården AS has awarded Veidekke's subsidiary Br. Reme AS the contract to build Havnegården in Arendal. The value of the contract is NOK 117 million excluding VAT.

The contract comprises construction of a commercial building with floor space of approx. 6,700 square metres. The building will be very efficient in terms of space. It will be five storeys high, with retail space on the ground floor and offices on the remaining floors. It will be built in accordance with energy class B requirements and connected to a district heating plant operated by Agder Energi.

The building is fully let, and tenants include BW Offshore, Asplan Viak, Secode, Handelsbanken, Bunnpris, Apotek 1 and Br. Reme/Veidekke.

Construction work has started, and the building is to be completed by 1 October 2012.
