“We are very pleased with the renewed trust and would like to once again thank Nordr and the other owners in Lilleby Eiendom for the commission. Since start-up at the old smelting plant site in 2015, through a very close and good partnership we have had the pleasure of developing and building around 800 homes at a value of around NOK 1.5 billion so far,” says Regional Director Torgeir Wiig with Veidekke Bygg Trøndelag.
This time, Veidekke will build the Smelteverket 3 apartment block with 60 apartments on seven floors above ground, as well as two floors below ground with storage rooms, bike parking and technical rooms. The building will be environmentally certified in accordance with the BREEAM 2016 Very Good standard. In addition, construction of the second building stage of Gartner Lunds Hage 2 is included in the commission. This consists of four 142 m2 terraced houses across three floors that complement the other terraced houses in the neighbourhood.
Lilleby is a new and green district in a car-free area in central Trondheim that will have 1,100 residential units in blocks and terraced houses when everything is completed. The homes will be surrounded by 38 decares of parks as well as garden plots, common roof terraces and good outdoor areas. Lilleby Eiendom is owned by Nordr Norge AS.
Construction starts immediately, with completion scheduled for the summer of 2026. Read more about the project here.
