Mosetertoppen Skiing Stadium will be a compact facility with amenities such as a restaurant, grocery store, sports shop, gym, skating rink and ski rental on the square between the apartments. The project will be located right next to the cross-country tracks and the downhill resort, and when completed it will comprise 97 apartments in six buildings, 2,100 m2 commercial premises and a shared 6,800 m2 parking facility.
“We have had a development phase for a year and a half now in good cooperation with the developer and architect. We are obviously very pleased that the contract materialised and we can get started with construction. In Mosetertoppen Skistadion AS we have a local and solid partner who suits us well, and we greatly appreciate the commission,” says District Manager Geirmund Østvold with Veidekke Bygg Indre Østland.
The project has been developed with emphasis on sustainability and energy-efficient solutions. This entails widespread use of wood, low-carbon concrete, reduced steel volumes and not least a geothermal system that will supply waterborne underfloor heating for most of the heating needs. Groundworks have started on the site, and construction will start shortly. Planned completion is in 2024. The commission is included in Veidekke’s order book for Q3.
