To renovate well-known office building in Gothenburg

Veidekke has been contracted by property company Vasakronen to modernize the Lilla Bommen office building, commonly known as "Läppstiftet" (the lipstick). The contract is a collaborative turnkey contract valued at SEK 110 million excluding VAT.

Lilla Bommen is one of Gothenburg's best known office buildings and is located between the harbour and the railway station in the city centre. The 22-storey building was originally built in 1988 and will undergo extensive internal rehabilitation and upgrades, including new walls and technical installations and a new entrance facing the river.

"For us it was important to select a contractor with experience from and expertise in collaborative contracts. Veidekke has a highly developed collaborative model and has proven that it is capable of safeguarding the interests of existing tenants, which is very important to us," says Magnus Tengberg with Vasakronen.

As soon as work started we gathered all parties for a workshop to find common ground with respect to the project's target visions. Throughout the project we will continue to schedule meetings to ensure safe and effective production with a high level of satisfaction. Involvement allows us exploit the combined intelligence of several minds thinking together," says Christer Carlberg of Veidekke.

Construction work has started, and the premises are scheduled for occupation in the spring of 2018.
