We look forward to collaborating on this exciting project, to the benefit of activities at Lillholmsskolan, says Jenny Skagstedt, project manager at SISAB – Skolfastigheter i Stockholm AB.

The execution contract entails the construction of two new school buildings and the associated school yard as well as a minor renovation of an existing building. School activities will continue in other buildings on site throughout the construction period. The two new buildings will comprise a lunch room, kitchen, classrooms and facilities for aesthetic subjects and laboratories. When completed, Lillholmsskolan will accommodate 990 students.

“We are very proud to have SISAB’s confidence. Through collaboration, we will deliver a project of the highest quality, providing added value for Lillholmsskolan and its pupils,” says Linus Wåhlin, construction manager at Veidekke Building Construction Stockholm.

The new school buildings will be environmentally certified, with the ambition to qualify for the standard “Miljöbyggnad Silver”, which requires healthy building materials, and low energy consumption, to provide the pupils with a healthy indoor climate with good ventilation. A later  phase of the Lillholmsskolan redevelopment will comprise construction of a sports hall and the renovation of the “A” building, which will house administrative functions and middle school activities.
