Veidekke's assignment involves new construction of a total gross area of 7,400 m2, designed for office and research purposes. The “Space” project will be built in Scandinavian style, with a hybrid frame of wood combined with green concrete and green steel. To meet the strictest sustainability requirements for everything from materials to energy optimisation, the building will be certified in accordance with Miljöbyggnad Guld and NollCO2. “Space” will also be certified to the WELL standard, which stipulates that special attention be paid to employee well-being, in the form of air quality, acoustics, movement, nutrition, mental health, etc.
“It is both inspiring and a great honor to be involved in the development and construction of this building with Wihlborgs. This is a project that suits us like a glove, with close collaboration and involvement, says Cecilia Eneberg, project manager at Veidekke Bygg Syd.
The contract is included in the order book for the current quarter.
