Veidekke sold a total of 462 homes during the first quarter of 2015. Sales have been very good in both Norway and Sweden
Veidekke's housing development activity following the first quarter of 2015 is high in both Norway and Sweden, with good sales and more homes being produced. In total 462 homes were sold at a value of NOK 1.69 billion. This is the strongest home sales result the Veidekke group has ever produced in one single quarter.
The highest activity in Norway is found in the south-eastern area, but sales are also good in Trondheim and Kristiansand. Activity is high in Sweden in all our focus areas, comprising Gothenburg, Skåne and Greater Stockholm
"We have been successful in all our new projects in both Norway and Sweden and currently sales are very good. This means that in the time ahead we shall start building more new projects. Sales of homes in Sweden have continued to increase with Stockholm as the most important market. Following several quarters of lower activity in Norway, the increased sales provide a foundation for producing more homes during the coming quarters", says CEO and President Arne Giske.
The number of homes currently in production is 1,499, with Veidekke's share being 1,237. The corresponding figure for the 1st quarter of 2014 was 1,586 with Veidekke's share being 1,175. The overall sales ratio for projects under construction is 81% (73%). The overall sales value in the quarter was NOK 1.69 billion, of which Veidekke's share was NOK 1.16 billion.
