Veidekke subsidiary Br. Reme AS has signed a contract with the municipality of Arendal to extend Arendal sports park (Arendal Idrettspark). This will be a turnkey contract valued at NOK 160 million, excluding VAT.
Br. Reme will construct a sports building containing a gymnastics hall, a tennis hall and a general sports hall, as well as common functions such as changing rooms, a cafe, grandstands and club offices. Areas have also been assigned for a fitness centre and possible medical offices. The total area of the building will be approximately 13,500 sq metres.
The project also includes considerable outdoor work, such as the refurbishment of an artificial turf football pitch and the creation of green areas, outdoor athletics areas and a park.
Work starts as early as August 2010 and is scheduled for completion by May 2012.
